That would be a great thing. It might eliminate the hassle of comparing adsense impressions to google analytics page views. would we also able to view which pages are performing and ads that are running on those pages?

HOWEVER, there is a BIG but here.

I don't know the Analytics contact information, but for example, we share our analytics data with many members, naturally we wouldn't want them to have access to our adsense reports.

Can someone please notify either adsense or analytics that when they do this, they make sure that people who we give access to see reports, can only see statistical reports not adsense page reports from Google analytics.

If that's your situation, then I'd probably be looking to take out another separate Analytics account just for the AdSense data. If in fact they do add AdSense tracking to Analytics (and I've seen the screenshots myself, so they will) I'm sure that you'll be able to write a filter to filter it out of your existing profile. Then you'd just have the AdSense in the second account. It would mean running two sets of Analytics codes on your pages, which might slow things down a little, but you always have to give a little to get a little.

I don't think you'd need a new account for that as it's possible to create multiple, separate website profiles for a single domain, for each of which you can set up filters and users, without having to add new code to your pages.

really? that's interesting, how do you do that Robzilla, can you write step by step? In fact we would like our members only to see the traffic regarding only the pageviews that they generate. All of members have their unique ID in their pages, so how do I create a profile?

Analytics Settings > Add Website Profile

Choose "Add a Profile for an existing domain," select the domain, give the profile a name, set the time zone and hit the Finish button.

You'll be back at the Analytics Settings page where you can edit the settings of the profile you just made. What I'm guessing you want to do there is create a new filter for that profile which will include only the data that is collected from a specific subdirectory, for which there is a pre-configured setting. Alternatively, if you use subdomains or a more complicated URL structure, you may have to create a custom filter.

I don't know if there is a cap on the amount of profiles you can have, but, obviously, if you have a lot of members, it might be a very time-consuming process to set it all up. Then again, you won't have to change the tracking codes on their pages.

I ran up against a limit of 50 profiles at one time.

Any news on this? I was really excited to read the original announcement. Anyone seeing it in their analytics yet?

If it could track my affiliate clicks too I'd be happy. Right now it appears that Analytics only tallies ordinary clicks and the affiliate links are ignored. I know it couldn't show earnings but right now it shows no clicks and I am earning through my affiliates so I know they are clicked. I just wish I knew which ones on which pages.
