"In the coming weeks, we'll be requiring all publishers to update their AdSense accounts to Google Accounts."
I have not done it. Heard some negative feedback in other boards about doing this. However, I do have different logins for many other Google services. Anyone else who has not updated? Care to share why?
My reason for not updating - if it ain't broke, don't fix (upgrade) it.
If you signed up for AdSense using a Google account, then you will not need to update your login. However, if you signed up for AdSense using a Gmail login that was not yet associated with a Google account, you will need to migrate your login.
If you do not see the migration wizard when you login in to your account, then you signed up for AdSense with a Google account or have already migrated your login.
You may find the latest blogpost [adsense.blogspot.com] on this topic useful.
I do not have a gmail account.
I only have an AdSense account and an AdWords account.
Both use exactly the same login and password.
When I log into AdSense I get the wizard. At the top it says if you are thisemail@thisdomain.com then click here or something to that effect.
As that is me, I click on it for it to take me back to log in, which I duly do with my login details I had used before, only to get the same wizard.
If I then try to use the wizard, even though it is me as mentioned above, I follow it to the end only for it to say that a Google account already exists for this user (showing the email again).
I know this because it is me. That email is my account, the only one I have. The email I use is mydirectandprivateemail@mydomain.com it is the same one I used to sign up for AdSense and AdWords many years ago.
This has been brought up in other threads before but no comment has been forthcoming from you or Google in general.
Please do advise as this is very worrying.

If you do not see the migration wizard when you login in to your account, then you signed up for AdSense with a Google account or have already migrated your login.
I have a Google account and when I log into AdSense with it, it says,
Are you one of the following people?* #*$!xx@mydomain.com
If so, then you've already updated your login to a Google Account.
Return to AdSense and use your Google Account to sign in.
If I click the link and return to AdSense and log in again, I come back to the exact same page. It sounds like I don't need to do anything, but getting this wizard page every time is incredibly annoying, and a bit worrisome that while Google knows I have a Google account, the day will come when I can't login anymore.
I have migrated my account months ago. And I'm still getting emails telling me to migrate. And I do not get any links to do migrate.
So: If I don't need to migrate several hundred times - please Google stop sending me emails telling me to migrate and theatening to throw me out of adsense.
Or please fix the bugs are sending these emails to people who have already migrated.
It really would be nice to get some office word or at least acknowledgement from Google on this, especially if the change means we won't be able to log into our accounts when they make the switch.
We are aware that some publishers who have already migrated have received emails prompting them to migrate. We apologize for any inconvenience these emails have caused you. If you have already migrated, you will not be required to do so again.
Finally, please note that a Google account does not need to be associated to a Gmail account.
You are most likely seeing this message because you are logging in with your previous login and password.
My login and password has always been the same, for both AdWords and AdSense, so that is not the issue.
I am still getting the wizard and problems previously described.
My question now is what do we do if we can't log in after G makes the change? and why can't G let us know if our account logins are ok before they make the switch?
I think I had an AdWords account first, then I tried to sign up with AdSense, but couldn't have AdSense together with AdWords. So, I had to set up a separate account for AdSense, which is what Google told me to do.
