Have a good one, anyhow!
I seem to be getting one very stange metric day like this a week now.
6 hours into Sunday and I don't see any recovery in sight.
80% US traffic. If people are staying home because of gas prices I'm definately not seeing it.

Yep. I think it has more to do with the advertisers than the viewers. Because I'm getting smart-priced up the butt. Virtually the same traffic, but 50% of the click value.
Saturday, again, right on the money - average for a Saturday.
Today, I am on target for this time of day for a Mon-Thur, or in other words, much higher than a normal Sunday.
I credit this to a lot of bad weather across the western half of the U.S. this weekend that kept people from being outside AND the high cost of fuel, that kept more people from traveling. Two weeks ago, I was beginning to look at projected weather for the U.S. for this weekend, watching it closely and hoping for LOTS of rain over a wide region. That single factor can make a break any day.
Alot has to do with the nitches your account covers. If all your eggs are in one nitch basket, it can hurt. Years past, mine were. Now, mine aren't.
Odd thing I've noticed this year - most Saturdays, my traffic is way down, and it comes up a bit on Sundays - that's to be expected. But for the last month or so, my traffic on Saturdays has been fairly high, and Sunday's is about the same. However, clicks on Saturday are always very low, and on Sunday are very high, even with a similar amount of traffic. People just seem to click more for me on Sunday. Odd.
BTW, it is a holiday in the UK today in case anyone did not know.
An interesting note: We used to allow content relating to 'work at home' and 'make money online' and our traffic would always go up on holidays. My wife says that was because of so many of the people at home trying to find ways to not have to go back to work after the holiday was over.
When we started disallowing this type of content, our holiday traffic pattern totally changed.
