Having issue with Amazon ads, could it be Google Adsense related?

Hi,

I have written a book review on my blog and put 2 links to amazon for the book, 1 each at amazon UK and US respectively.

What I am finding is that the links appear fine in I/explorer but not properly in Firefox it seems. In Firefox it might be that neither book appears or that a google ad appears in the place of one of them, when there is no google code right near it except at the end of the post

Also, when the post/page is opening you can actually see the amazon ads how they should be appearing as well as the google ads at the bottom of the page, but when the page is fully loaded then they appear erroneously as mentioned

I took the code from there for the respective amazon ads (i.e. one ad/link to amazon US and the other to Amazon UK)

Thanks

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Webstuff123,

my first thought would be to validate the page. It sounds more like an html error of some kind than anything else.

Thank you :)

What do you mean by validate it? I'm assuming there's something that does this

I can understand tweaking bits of html (formatting etc) but I wouldn't say I'm savvy with everything on it, so I'm happily learning new terms :)

Thanks for that

There's around 70 errors, anything in particular I should be looking for?

Of course, the majority of errors are well before this issue so probably aren't applicable, I'll look in the vicinity of the amazon/google code. was just wondering if there were any types of errors that are connected with this sort of thing

Thank you for your replies by the way, appreciated :)

nothing specific I can think of, things like missing alt wouldn't be an issue

yes, it seems little things, I'll have a look into it
I posted on amazon's forums about a day agog but they had no idea lol

It works fine on IE, so I guess there's something about the validation issues (if relevant) to do with firefox, yes?

You may not find the error by validating. i was one of the people who responded on Amazon's forums, and even though you say the width of the layout isn't the issue, I still have the feeling that there's something in your layout that is confusing some browsers--maybe your use of <div> tags?

Thanks. the thing is i don't know too much about <div> tags, i.e. I didn't enter any manually on the page, if there are any there it's either via the blog software or amazon/google
I can look into it and learn about them or consider not putting the amazon links on that post as it might just be easier. Maybe a jpeg of the cover of the book linking to the Books page

From an SEO point, they are.

Best if Webstuff123 removed all errors and not just some of them.

Thanks for that. Currently the site is doing well on search engines (without too much trying so far as have been busy on other aspects) but I guess you're saying mean it can be better.
These interactions have made me aware of things I can look into, thank you
