Can I park pages with Adsense?

Also, does the Google SE index parked pages? I don't have an Adsense account, so I'm trying to figure out how things work. I hope I'm not going against any forum rules with my topic.

Thanks Gian04. Actually I've seen that page but I think it's old (in the FAQ they say that Adsense has existed for 3 years).

And what about parked pages getting indexed? Anyone know?

Why in the world would a self respecting search engine index a parked page? And if you're going to pester webmasters for links, forget it, no self respecting webmaster will link to a parked page, and even if it gets a link and is indexed by mistake, it will be reported and taken down.

does the Google SE index parked pages?

I have seen it index some, not many and they usually do not rank, most people with these kind of names hope for type-ins etc.

If this is what you are considering you would probably be better off in the domains forum: [webmasterworld.com...]

The question is are you considering a Google Domain Park type or are you considering a single page with relevant and pertinent information for that specific name?

This will depend how many names you have since producing half a dozen relevant pages for half a dozen names would not be a problem however several hundred single pages are a pain!

If you are considering creating a decent splash page, for the wont of a better description, then so long as everything is done correctly, yes it will be indexed and if the information is very good it may also rank highly.

One word of warning, even if you do this there is no guarantee of AdSense earnings!

AdSense won't work on a parked page - the TOS states you are supposed to have *some* content. You can join a parking program (not Google's though - they're closed to new entries, and besides require something like 750k pageviews per month before they'll consider you) and possible make some money that way, but it will mostly only if someone types in your domain name. You can also join a program that will put an article feed on your parked domain, but that likely won't rank either; usually those articles are already duplicated into the thousands in the serps.

As far as indexing - it used to be that parked domains could get indexed and even rank. However, in recent months, Google seems to have taken some serious steps towards deprecating them so that they don't turn up for a search. They might be indexed, but they probably won't rank.

(Yes, I know there are still some that do - but bit by bit, they are decreasing in number)

If you want to earn money on your domain, the best way is to develop it with some unique content. There's really no 'set it and forget it' solutions anymore.

I see, thank you for your replies. I'm coming so late to this party. Domaining seems so saturated, it seems impossible to register something new that will get type-in traffic and I don't have a budget to invest on anything better.

That's a pretty good summing up. I have around a thousand domains; only a very few make anything with parking, and not very much at that.

Why not put some content on the page that is relevant to the url?
Then it is parked but also has content (and I don't mean spam content).
