Hi all, I've just noticed that one of my pages displays 2 link units. At first, I thought it was a glitch, however numerous refreshes did not help so I checked the particular page and in fact there were 2 pieces of Adsense code. I thought only single link unit was allowed? Is that possible Google now doesn't block link units that are used over the limit, yet still prohibiting placing 2 link units on one page?

That does appear to be the case. I would remove one forthwith. :)

I wasn't ever under the impression that Google blocked or stopped ads appearing which exceeded the allowances specified in Program Policies. I always thought it was up to the individual who agreed to those policies to ensure they didn't create a pages that would be in violation.

Perhaps I was a bit too naive.

Obviously, situations resulting from a error made in page creation are not likely to be considered violations if corrected in a timely manner.

Hi,

I'm sure that I must have temporarily broken the Ts&Cs several times due to dumb-<donkey> mistakes in coding, thinking, etc...

I always fix such errors as soon as I find them: I think G allows for human error, just not egregious deliberate fraud.

I once tried putting two link units on a page not realizing it was against TOS. The second unit wouldn't display. After playing around with it for awhile I realized I wasn't allowed to have two. So it's curious that you got two to display at the same time.

what do you mean? I don't play around with Adsense code - I copy it directly into my html source...

But have any of you tried placing 2 link units yourself? Maybe I'm not the only one;-)

Hi,

I've had complex logic errors where I've had 4 ad units in some rare cases, for example. Whoops! New code release pronto (within hours of spotting the problem) with simplified (and correct) logic, and AS did not chop my hands off for the error...

So the code was fine, just too much of it like it was for you.
