few questions. I've been reading and I can't seem to come to a solid conclusion about a few issues/questions about googles ad-sense.

first off, I have a site that is currently in the works. But because I purchased the domain already and get regular traffic I threw up a quick page just so people wont see a blank page. I also setup 1 banner ad on the page; So my question is as follows:
I read that my account can become disabled if my site generates little or no traffic. Is this true? Also since I dont anticipate having the fully-functional versio nof my site online for another 1 - 1 1/2 months should I temporarily 'disable' ads until then?

Second. I've only had 1 banner ad on my page for about 4-5 hours now. It seems as though the ad's are totally random and not really have anything to do with my website and my websites content. Why is this and how can i fix it?

thanks

I've not heard about accounts being disabled for no traffic.

Having Ads without content is a no no though.

Either take off the Ads for the time being or add some content - perhaps a paragrphe or two about what you are planning to cover in your site.

Once you have some content for the bots to analyse you should see some related ads

thanks for the reply/advice.

When you say its a "no-no", is it google who considers this a no-no, or is it more-so a code of ethics thing? Basically sites with little or no-content are wasting advertisers money if their page has nothing?

Also as a web designer who is displaying other companies ad's through ad-sense, do I have any control over whether or not I only display CTR or others? As I understand you can do pay per clicks or pay per xx impresissions as an advertiser. Is this correct and can I control what kind of ads I display?

Thanks.

It is clearly against the Google TOS to have Adsense on pages without content -you are at risk of getting banned.

Ok. Even though I have a small paragraph about what my site will soon contain, I'll just remove the ad's for now.

Not really sure but seems I remember that under construction sites displaying ads is also against TOS. The site should be complete enough for the viewer to get some value out of it.

Rather than say what it will contain I just add something like, 'this site will continue to grow and I will be adding more to it as time permits and God allows. Email me through the contact form if you have something special you would like to see here.'

NEVER put under construction on your site.

As I recall, when I applied for an AdSense account I needed to supply a URL which they subsequently evaluated and found a bit too incomplete for an approval. After doing a slight scale down and tightening up navigation they easily approved what I had and off I went.

Has something changed? How do these accounts get opened? This is the second or third of these under construction/incomplete scenarios I've seen in just a couple days? Is there no longer a requirement to supply them with intended site URL?

Sorry jaketone, I meant to ask this a few days ago and it slipped my mind.
