URL channels not covering all ads?

I have a weird situation. I have a site for which I have a URL channel that covers the whole domain (i.e. domain.com is the channel). I also have custom channels just for this site (let's say channel X1 is for domain.com/x1 and X2 is for domain.com/x2).

Now I see that the URL channel domain.com shows me 20$ (not a real number). But X1+X2 gets me to 25$.

I'm 100% certain these ads do not show anywhere else... So what gives?

Ron.

I often see the opposite - i.e. the sum of all the parts doesn't add up to the whole.

Have you tried checking the data again? Some of the stats have been a bit erratic in coming in recently - maybe the top level figure was not as up to date as the lower levels ones.

The opposite situation might happen because URL channels can report duplicate data.

If you have a site domain.com, and a direcotiry domain.com/a

And you have 2 URL channels -

domain.com
domain.com/a

Then each ad in domain.com/a will be reported to both channels.

The data is already from yesterday, so I don't think Google will change that. Any other ideas?

Pengi,

I just re-read your post, and saw that I read it the opposite, you're not having too-much stats, but too-little.

Sorry!

No problemo

Could this have anything to do with it?

Maybe if I wait a day or two I'll see that stats okay?

I've contacted Google Adsense support, maybe they have the answer.

I am in the same boat as Pengi. The individual channels don't add up to the total for the domain. I'm sure I'm not doing anything wrong so just gave up worrying about it!

Same here, I don't worry about it any more - unles it gets significant.

I normally find there a dollar or 2 unaccounted for, but when theis increased to 70% and then 100% I knew there was a problem with the channel data.
