Hi all,

On my page, at the end of each Post I always put some Useful links related to the content of the post, and below them I also put Adsense, Will Google think that I recommend Adsense as Useful links, but in fact and in my mind I did not.

ex:

Useful links:
Url 1
URL 2
URL 3

Ads by Google [ Large Retangle]
Adsense Ad 1
Adsense Ad 2
...

Please tell me whether it is okey or not.

Thanks,

Kurt

That's a good question itravelvietnam, I thought of doing that also (but haven't yet).

I was thinking of adding some useful links then blending some adsense link units below so that it looks like a list of links.

It does seem a bit sneaky and I haven't seen it done elsewhere so I think that it might be against AS TOS.

I think you are walking a very thin line. It is obvious that you have placed the links here with your comment to encourage clicking on the links - I think if Google were looking for a reason to ban you, they could deam this as grounds. I wouldn't advise it!

The more you try to trick Google the more likely you are going to one day get the dreaded email - just not worth the risk!

I think you are walking a very thin line.

Explain in more detail.

I really think you will be fine, from what I can tell this is a good example of how to use adsense. Why? Well adsense is pretty much just "useful links". A page offers information about Red Widgees, Adsense would then be useful links as it could contain places to buy Red Widgees.

My point being if you have good content and good information then that shoul dbe fine, I thought thats what google was looking for. I would not consider this as spam as I consider Google Adsense useful links to the page in question.

Let us know what Google said since yours is different to what I had them approve:

Top navigation
AdSense Leaderboard
Product Byline Description Promotion

As I understood the T&Cs I could not do:

Top navigation
Product Byline Description Promotion
AdSense Leaderboard

If they approve ensure you keep a copy of the e-mail!

Nothing wrong with the links blended into other url links - just don't encourage anyone to click on them with any text. I am sure this could be deamed a breach - but as Opti said - if they say it is OK keep a copy of the email - I think you would get a stand email reply saying anything deamed to be promoting the clicking on any ads is a breach of TOS.

Not having a go at you guys - but there have been similar threads on here - people have been banned. Not worth the risk. IMHO ;)

And why would you want to do that? Surely not to fool users?

It does seem a bit sneaky

Aha, we see the first pangs of a guilty conscience. :-)

This thread illustrates perfectly why "smart pricing" is needed to protect advertisers.
