Adsense Not Targeting Articles on Sub-Category Pages

How Can You Target Ads That Are On the Second Page of Categories?

On our site we have home page, categories and news articles that are listed in the categories.

under each category we show 20 news articles per page.

Those articles that are on the first page, the targeting is great. However, those articles that are on the 4, 5, 6, or 8 page they are not targeted at all. YOu have to refresh the article few times to show related ads.

What can we do about this? How do you solve this problem?

We're seeing the same kinds of things, and often it looks like ads are being cached (the same ad block being shown on interior pages. If this is happening it's a MAJOR problem for adsense but nobody here seems to be concerned.

Also, targeting clearly looks at site theme, and a lot of times we see site themed ads, and not page specific ads.

One of these days, I have to contact adsense direct on this.

If I understand the issue correctly, I've had this problem in the past and what sometimes works for me is to take the ads off the home page for a few days (2 - 3).

do the ads stay targeted for several days, after you do the refresh?

I'm having the same problem - ads are way off target - however, my problem is? How do you set the <topic> in a blog site and where?

Adsense Not Targeting Articles on Sub-Category Pages

- do you have framed content?
- do you have framed ads?
- do you have javascript links?
- does the adsense bot crawl regularly on these pages?
- do you have many page views per visitor?

moTi,

I have none of these.

It seems that this is a common problem and if Google fixes this we can run the program more efficiently.

I already contacted Adsense today, have not heard from them yet. It would be great if you guys do the same, so they know that this is a common problem and allocate resources to fix it.
