Oct. 3,2006: Are Stats Unusually Slow Today?

Timing of stats. Lots of impressions - no update on clicks

Hey Guys:

I know this happens occasionally but stats seem to be real slow today.

Does anyone notice anything?

Does anyone monitor their performance regularly like a few times a day?

Does anyone have any insight as to how stats get updated or what the real time lag is between a click and when it actually gets posted?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I thought my stats were a little slow this morning only to discover that my main website was down for the 2nd time in two months.

The hosting company finally had it up and running by noon EDT (down at least 10 hours) however I have lost the best part of the day.

Sorry to interrupt this thread with a whine.

Stats seem to be recovering a little.

Surely you jest! If I'm at the computer... I check a few times an hour!

Anyway, I'd say stats are a bit slow today as well.

Are people clicking my ads so MUCH that AS can't keep up?

Is the entire building manually auditing my stats because they cant belive that there has been so much of a surge?

Is this driving me out of my mind?

Does nyone have a cure for this?

Was having the same - and yesterday as well. However, all now appears to be OK. Not sure what went on - but back to normal in last hour - hope the same happens for you!

You know... It's not about the pennies....It's about making sure that the site and the ads are properly optimized....

What I'm looking for is more the results not the pennies that go with it...

When I am convinced that the site is optimized then hopefully the pennies will add up to something... like a beverage...

I'm sure I've established it as fact that the money only comes in when you check your stats!
