Anyone know where I can send a holiday gift to Google?

Fair is fair: I want one, I'm gonna send one.

Anyone have an address where I can send Google a little holiday present? It dawned on me last December that I may not have fulfilled MY social duties.

Here I am, expecting a major corporation to send me a gift -a GoogleGift- not knowing, I suppose, whether or not my company is a major company. So why shouldn't *I* send them some promotional stuff I've got lying around?

In fact, I have a REALLY nice calendar I can send them -- and it cost me probably more per than the travel kit cost them per.

So, where do I send it? Who there will get to hang it on their office wall? ASA?

No. Any time you see imported wine, it's either smuggled or fake.

liquor across international borders? of course not. unless it is already in your stomach, but even then there are limits per person (thatīs why they don't let drunks fly).

Can I have one in lieu of the fact that I still haven't had my fridge! :)

Not worth the effort unless you have a dedicated rep. Mine was recently transferred to Google in another country so I'm starting over with a different rep. We send all our clients and vendors a gift each year. Its the nice thing to do.

Oh yeah, that box will definately go through the big scanner and the dogs will be sniffin it. May as well throw an old watch in the box too just for added fun.

I agree with motorhaven. Unless you have a specific person in mind, for specific reasons, don't bother. Companies really are faceless, and they don't work on a loyalty basis.

Then why do they send a GoogleGift to (some of) their publishers?

When a company sends gifts to its customers / partners, that isn't loyalty. If they thought they could get a better deal by buttering up someone else, they'd drop one customer / partner for another in a heartbeat.

It is an attempt to engender loyalty and good will. While it is useless to send gifts to a large corporation, gifting your account rep or someone else within the company that has given you personal service can be worthwhile and can make dealing with them more pleasant.

As soon as you start sending me checks worth thousands of dollars I'll be happy to send you a calendar. :) :) :)

ACH Direct Deposit would be OK too! ;)

Aaahhh on second thought, I don't think I'm giving out my account number. Back to checks.
