Adsense page impressions number

Hello, great forum here... I've learned a lot by reading over the past few days! I just installed Adsense on my website last night, and already today I have made over $3.00. The day ain't over yet either! Anyway, my question is a simple one. On the Adsense reporting page, it tells me how many "Page impressions" I am getting, but my statistics on my web server tell me Im putting out about 3 times as much "Page views"... are these not the same? My web statistics report approximatly the same figure for "Unique Visitors". Is a google "Page impression" only counted once for each visitor to my site, regardless of how many pages they may click through?

Adsense stats are delayed. Wait until the next day to compare. Also, make sure you readjust for the Goooogle Time zone.

Something that's really useful here is the search feature. I've found that most questions I came up with had already been discussed.

Yes, I've noticed the lag time with the Adsense reporting.... keeps me on the edge of my seat! Car Guy, thanks for the links, I'll check them out.
