I have a SMALL site, and I don't get many clicks but sometimes my Adlogger sends me a email that one ip clicked more than 3 times

I am seeing so many threads of banned ppl that I am becoming worried, I really don't want to get banned so is 3 clicks from the same ip too much? if not how much is too much or how do u setup your click fraud detection?

thanks

If you are in any doubt, I don't see that it would hurt to e-mail G with your details and concerns.

Whether 3 clicks from one IP address is cause for concern - depends on your site and how visitors get there.

I if buyer id sent to your site from say adwords and finds 3 highly relevant ads - it it unreasonable that they look at each of them?

If you're not doing the clicking, then I wouldn't worry about a thing. Just keep working on your site and worry less about getting banned for something that you didn't do.

Is three clicks from the same IP too much? Well, here's a thought exercise for you. If those are the first three from what turns out to be a click attack, do you want to stop it (or at least make G aware of it) before it becomes a problem for you?

I seriously doubt it. OTOH, I can find no threads here from people whose accounts were terminated because they kept bugging Google with concerns about possible invalid clicks, so...

Reporting 3 clicks from one ip as a possible click attack is like taking your first born to the hospital the first time he or she sneezes. By your third kid, they have to be missing a limb before you make that trip. Usually just tell them to walk it off. :p

Today my stats show 21 people (ip) clicked 3 times on ads. I even had one click 7 times. Yesterday had the one IP click 8 times....

It's common practice for users to click an ad, hit the back button and click another one, especially if your ads are blended. Google knows about this so I wouldn't worry.

But just like with your first kid, better be safe than sorry so have it checked out.

Sorry, but we might say:

It's common practice for users to click an ad, hit the back button and click another one, especially if your ads are blended and well-targeted.

Thanks all, it is indeed like taking your first born to the hospital on first sneez :)

of course i didn't do it, I barely dare go near the ads

If it wasn't you or your friends, I wouldn't worry. Some ppl simply click each and every link.
It's G's business model, they have to deal with it.

Some people simply click each and every link.

And they're entitled to.
