I was wondering weather any CTR above 20 is good and a eCPM between 18-25 is ok. I run around 20 sites and half of them has Adsense on it. And it is one site which is getting the maximum revenue and that is a content rich website with 2000 pages and also the oldest one.

I just want to know weather my CTR & eCPM averages is below average or above.

Please give your thoughts.

Sorry, but due to the AdSense T.O.S., we are not allowed to disclose that information.

From what I have seen people say here or hint at, I would say that both of those are at least double the average, even if you exclude forum sites, which bring down the average.

If I had those numbers I could go out and buy a Beamer with one check.

Yeah, divide by 4 and divide by 2 and you have it.

(Jeez man what are you promoting miracle elixer?)

I really don't think you can try to compare. Every site has its own niche - some niches pay a lot more than others. CTR depends on the quality and content of your site. One would expect a really good site, with loads of realy interesting content to have a lower adsense CTR. A finance related site would expect to have a very high EPM......and so the parameters change. It is impossible to compare, unless you look at two very similar sites, with similar content and similar traffic. :)

Is this your average of all your sites or just the best performing one?

If it's an overall figure then you're on fire with no reason to complain about anything. If it's just your best performing site then you're doing pretty well.

I have some reliable low volume sites that, so far in 2006, have up to 27% CTR and eCPMs up to USD 70.00 however one couldn't retire on them.

The core sites are much lower at 4-5% CTR and USD 10-12 eCPM. Now those DO pay a lot bills:-)

The only reason you are wondering is probably because you don't have much traffic and therefore you wish your check was bigger. :p

Those numbers Rock! Personally, any page I have that shows me a CTR of over 10% I buy traffic for.

If you have had that CTR for 3-6 months, I would suggest throwing a few hundred $ at it in quality traffic to see if you can get a positive ROI. If you do... well you know what that means. Good Luck!

Thanks for your responses.

The average is for all most the same for 5-6 sites but my best performing site gets me the major share of the traffic.2000-3000 uniques per day Health niche site. The rest are just getting 100-200 unique and none of the site has a CTR less than 15% they are all above that.

I would suggest throwing a few hundred $ at it in quality traffic to see if you can get a positive ROI.

Yes I do. A CTR like that, IMO, has to be exploited or its like leaving money on the table. I track my PPC KWs and Adsense clicks and at the end of each day I can see which produced a positive ROI and which didn't. Once I have enough data, I can tell which page and which keywords are making me money and drop the ones that don't. Sure it may take a little investment, but when you know what works for you.... you'll love your earnings.

Even if you spend $1.00 to make $1.10 (or whatever amount) IMO it is still worth it. Find me a stock, bank or mutual fund that pays 10% interest on your investment A DAY! Even the traffic that comes and doesnt click may still pay off eventually by word of mouth, bookmarking and linking your page.

Buying the right traffic for the right keywords at the right price and weeding out the pages and or keywords with a negative ROI is the most time consuming part but well worth it in the end.

My major site (10 years original content) has 3000 organic uniques also. Then I buy 5,000 more through Adwords and make 3/1 on what I spend.

With those numbers you should certainly reinvest some money into traffic.

I'll tell you what is not average.
My first report of the day yielded an eCpm of 1264.00.

Regarding the ppc, buy quality targetted traffic or you may be killing the goose that layed the golden egg. That doesn't mean you have to bid high.

I bought some targeted traffic through PPC but not from Adwords I am really seeing some great results. Thanks
