I Thought Talking About AdSense was Forbidden?

Mean to type "forbidden", sorry!

But yet I come across many sites discussing adsense positions, giving tips and advice about how to get the best out of it and make money, monetizing, etc..., basically discussing everything that’s discussed on this forum, but the difference is they have adsense banner on the site/forums etc, while this forum doesn't.

But for those forums/sites, surely by talking about adsense and giiving advice and tips and how it wroks while an adsense banner present on the same page is frown upon by google? Thats influencing visits to click subliminally, even if it just out of curiosity or whatever. That draws attention.

Whats going on?

I've seen some of those sites, and then forgot about them. Many are created just so somebody has a place to hang some ads.

This is the good place. Look around some more.

Even if they violate the TOS they won't get banned unless Google knows about it.

But that's Googles problem, let them worry about it.

You're better off spending your time working on your site(s).

Adsense publishers aren't forbidden from publicly revealing the total amount they earned. They are not allowed to reveal specifics such as ctr, epc, ecpm etc. Discussing ways to increase your earnings isn't forbidden otherwise this forum would not exist.

So if a website discusses the tips here, and includes overall earnings then that isn't against Google TOS. The fact they have ads doesn't mean they are breaking the TOS either.

I'd also say to not worry about them. Even if you do report them, and Google feel they are in breach of the TOS, unless they claim to be representing Google thay won't get banned.

Obviously they are pushing the ads , using the tips etc as a bait. It is called marketing or better still sales... ;-)

G even wants us to promote AS using referrals. How should this be done, without talking about it ;)

I don't understand the problem with having AdSense ads displayed on forums. They serve a useful purpose for all AdSense Publishers. The type of information found on the forums could easily be charged for in the form on an e-Book. IMHO if someone has taken the trouble to put a forum together they're entitled to some form of compensation.
