It's possible that some parameters may be updated at different times.

I'm keeping records of my reports at several intervals in the day in order to understand how this all works.

In comparing the records taken at 10:00 am Google time today with the same time yesterday, page impressions are at 1.05% and the CTR is at .93%.

I've seen similar effects from my site/pages being scanned - e.g. by me, by G, and by other "bots". Lots more impresssions but no clicks to go with them.
If you don't gat a large number of visitors (like me :-( ) than this sore of traffic would have just the effects you describe.
