I have two skyscrapers, 3 little button referrals (adsense, adwords, and piscasa) and a search bar from google adsense
is this too much? i dont understand "3 ad limit" if it includes those other things as a total of 3 or not

I would say far too much advertising. Most people find one well placed ad block works better than three. Personally I think one ad block, one link bar and the Google Search box are a good combination.

It may not be too much under the rules, but it is too much for your visitors.
