Do you block site-targeted advertisers?

I say this because I see things from both sides. I run site-targeted ads and have the thing down to a fine art: am getting good traffic now off about 20 sites at around 2-3c/click.

If they are doing the same to me, that would be a lot less than my average ePC.

There are about 6 advertisers site-targeting my site. Would you block or let the "market" decide?

I would let the market decide - Google will serve the highest paying ads on your site regardless.

How do you know/find out if sites are specifically targeting your site?

I doubt that. G will serve the "best" ads, what ever that means O_o
Site targetted ads are often PPV and unless you have really much traffic, I would disable it.

Hi,

Given the nature of my site my eCPM is not great, but of late I've noticed that the small amount of CPM (site-targeted) AS ads that run on my site are giving me a significantly *higher* eCPM than the rest.

YMMV.

I don't actively go looking for things to block, but I've found that many Adwords folks who use site targeting just don't seem to know what the heck they're doing. If I happen to run across a site-targeted ad that doesn't really fit for my audience I'll go in and block it.

I am increasingly tempted to block site-targeted ads, as the new ones I see on my site in recent months have been AdSense and YPN arbitrage sites with no content.

I would at least like the ability to set a minimum landing page quality based upon the data Google already utilizes for search.

Site-targeted CPM ads have worked fine for me. Sometimes the eCPMs are pretty good, and I can remember one occasion when a major airline paid through the nose for a good-sized flight of site-targeted ads.

I don't get a lot of site-targeted CPM ads, but my experience with them suggests that they're a nice source of incremental income (especially on pages, such as photo-gallery pages, that don't do so well with CPC).
