Google's own ads - do we get paid for them?

Getting a lot of Google's own ads for Google Mail

In my 120x600 size ads I've been getting a lot of ads for Google Mail for Mobile. Does anyone know if Google pay us for these when they're clicked on like regular ads or do they not pay us for such ads? If they don't does anyone know how to avoid getting these type of ads?

If they are in your adblocks, they are paid ads.

I can see from my channels that I am being paid for clicks on toolbar.google.com, if it helps!
