justsomepoordude-

This time last yesr with AdSense newly installed on my site AND with NO real thought about it's integration or configuration... I was getting consistantly in the $0.20 to $0.50 range. Some time after the new year began I started seeing the lower value $0.01 to $0.10 clicks.

Everything that Hobbs has mentioned WILL help increase the click value, however, I've tried them all (and more) and still can't seem to get back into the click value ranges I saw last year.

I believe the diminishment in value has to do with more than just the obvious parameters... much to my dismay!

That's why my last recommendation was to read more, there is removing extra ad units, blocking MFA, fine tuning your topics, there is a wealth of suggestions in here for the taking.

Adsense is very surreal at times.

I've just got my site up to position 3 on my keywords and guess what - the same ads now earn me less. Getting more clicks but still earn the same. Typical day on planet Google.

Whatever ads get shown, and whatever you get for them is sometimes totally inexplicable. It's the adsense roller coaster. All you can do sometimes is to hang on and enjoy the ride. Concentrating on your site content and getting the visitors is the number one piece of advice.

I whole heartily agree... AND I spend WAY too much time here doing just that!

My comment "more than just the obvious parameters" was relative to click values having decreased... not that there were no methods for increasing them.

Considering your previous threads I thought you would be very happy to get clicks at all!

Similar to my situation,

Earlier this year I watched with joy as my income climbed to new highs, seemingly on the price per click.

Since June, my peak month, I have dropped right back to Dec levels, yet the click rate is still about the same ballpark.

I have no idea why the change except that the income per click has decreased markedly.

If you havent changed anything in a while, change the channel format.
This can force a mediabot revisit and this sometimes results in a re-eval of the ads and pricing you get.
But I must say, I have been using JS tracking on the CPC for a while now and its absolutely insane how a given advertiser can have pricing go up and down 600% across the hours - there seems to be no real formula to what they have to pay for a click on my sites. Does Google really use a random number generator? :(

the income per click has decreased markedly.
=========================

You need to reset your ads by running an ad block with no channel hooked to it for at least 24 hrs. Then put your regular ad block back into the page and see what happens.

If I find one of my ad blocks is paying that low I immediately investigate to ascertain if a well written MFA's (or two) might be the likely culprits. If I cannot establish anything I simply remove the block for a while.

Does this happen on the same page?

The same ad on different pages can be triggered by different keywords with a different bid price - resulting in a different payout for the same ad.
