Anyone seeing recent changes?

We have noticed a trend of serps dropping for the sites we monitor that have adsense on them. Our sites that do not have adsense on them have remained the same. Is anyone else seeing this?

When I first put adsense on my sites, yes I did notice a drop in SERPs for both Yahoo and MSN. The guys here said it was just coincidence and that they'd probably recover, which they did.

I'm not 100p/c convinced, but there again, I love a good conspiracy theory ;)

How long have you had adsense on the sites which are dropping?

None of my AdSense sites has ever gotten any appreciable amount of Yahoo traffic, even before adding AdSense.

Do all your AdSense sites use similar layout or placement of the AdSense code?

If your AdSense code is before your content, and Yahoo suddenly placed more emphasis on how far the content is from the beginning of the file, your AdSense sites would take a hit and your sites without that code would do better. There are lots of other explanations than Yahoo targeting AdSense.

I just noted the drop today, the content is before the adsense. The sites have always ranked great in yahoo and all the sudden today they dropped out.

Definitely noticed this correlation on a few sites. Those without ranking well, those with bombing in the serps.

I have held the top positions in my niche for 6 years and have had adsense on the pages for 3 years. I have not seen any negative changes caused by displaying adsense.

That was strange, yahoo dropped me out yesterday and today I am back. Must have something to do with the new slurp.
