On their website they say
"Although we don't disclose the exact revenue share, our goal is to enable publishers to make as much or more than they could with other advertising networks."
So I need to know if I will make $25 or $1000 per month, it will help in deciding if I should bother to do it or not.
They say "The best way to find out how much you'll earn is to sign up and start showing ads on your web pages" I dont like that idea.

You're not losing anything when you sign up and place the ads on your site. Well, you lose a bit of page space when they're filled up with ads, but that's the whole idea.
In reference to how much you will make, it really depends on your topic; the quality of your content; your traffic levels; and how relevant the ads are.
Well with G AS, they don't know where you'll be selling, they don't know what product you will be selling, they don't know how well your pages will promote the products, they don't even know how well the ads that will show on your pages were written to promote selling, they dont know from one day to the next how much the seller will pay for a click... and so on....
My point is that there are way too many variable to even begin to guess at how much you could earn. Only with enough time and history can you start to predict how a page will earn provided the variables don't completely change.
If you have decent taffic, slap the ads on and see. My guess is you will earn something eventually. In this business, how much you earn not only depends on you but a whole lot of other people and circumstances.
There are people here who earn less than a dollar a day and there are people here who earn hundreds everyday.
Good Luck!
What you will earn depends on
- how much traffic your sites get
- what kind of traffic your sites get
- the topic of your sites
- how hard you work
- how smart you are
- how much luck you have
- oh, and another 1000 things.
There is simply no way to tell in advance.
If you want a better estimate I guess you should tell us a bit more (in general) about your niche and your traffic.

I agree with Ganceann, be very careful how you place your ads. My inclination would initially be to try an AdLinks unit in the LHS navigation column and/or for a skyscraper in traditional AdSense blue colours and would not detract at all from your page
Some may say possibly a 468 x 60 at either the top or bottom of each page, plus maybe on the long pages one at each end.
My feelings are that your LHS column could be a little goldmine and is the place to be since the visitors eye will see them as they scan down each page.
As an experiment, you could try placing ads in a section of the site that contains information only, if there is such a section.
I think you are probably right about not putting ads on there. If I made $500 a month for example with the ads and it stopped just one or two people from buying it would not be a wise choice.
Definately not worth it if you lost a customer who might spend $100+ just for the sake of a click that could bring in $0.01 if smartpriced down.
Although you said you had other sites, the same principle would apply - having adsense blend into the overall site design rather than be plastered all over the site.
One adsense linkunit and one banner/block should generally be enough for any website to have on any pages - as too much advertising will take away from the content.
Google themselves say adsense is not suited to all types of website - and in the case of product based websites, webmasters would have to draw their own conclusions based on their product range and the potential of sending high value customer away from their site for the sake of a few advertising cents.
You'll never know if AdSense works until you try it out, and there's nothing worse than not knowing, therefore I'm going to go with my first recommendation and you trial an AdLink unit in the LHS column.
I would've thought that you'll soon know whether it's affected your own sales and if it were to...remove immediately!
