I deleted some custom channels a couple of days ago and now am trying to get some back. I added a new custom channel with exactly the same name as the old custom channel, but the old data is not available. Also I noticed that a new channel code was assigned in the HTML code.
Does this not work?

There a good dissertation on this subject by Juan_G at the end of this thread:
You might try backing up the page or the ad that you were tracking and then recreate the channel with the exct same words, then upload the page again instead of creating a new ad.
