Google, as you know, published Google Page Experience Core Web Vitals [webmasterworld.com] earlier in 2020, and now, it's added more information on the timings, and some changes which are going to affect some of the changes webmasters have made to comply with the earlier page signals. The page experience signals in ranking will roll out in May 2021 and combine with Core Web Vitals, and the existing search signals including mobile-friendliness, safe-browsing, HTTPS-security, and intrusive interstitial guidelines.

Google is working on a way to identify and indicate which pages have met the page experience criteria. This will be interesting because whatever "signal" it gives pages might affect clicks.

It also gave a continued lifeline to AMP, "We continue to support AMP content in Google Search. If you publish an AMP version of your content, Google Search will link to that cache-optimized AMP version to help optimize delivery to users, just as is the case today. "

Webmasters invested in AMP pages, but that signal benefit is now going to be levelled with the confirmation that any non-AMP page meeting the Google News policies will become eligible to appear, as long as there's what Google calls, "a great web experience", and it says this will also roll out in May 2021.

I read it, kinda worries me at times. There are lots of places where we were able to find what we were looking for (like the old web) and it was great information, great content. G doing this sounds great, I think on the positive side is fair to the efforts of good webmasters but there is always the question what's a good experience when it comes to algos trying to figure things out? technology has come a long way but I think there are lots of things missing.

This is really stressful, for the video based websites, I dont think so it is possible to achieve the core web vitals 100%.
