Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help us with these two questions.
When I search site:example.com
I see that google has indexed all of our pages in it's overseas domains such as google.co.uk and google.in and so on. But in google.com it has less pages indexed. The site is a news site 6 years old, all unique content.
Second Question:
On our Webmaster tools google shows many 404 page not found errors. However, when I look to those external links, they mostly miss something. let's say another website gives us a link and they forget the .html at the end of the link or ml part and just do .ht
This normally leads to page not found on our site and google brings this to our attention on our webmaster tools area. Are we responsible for these errors? We can't contact those sites (usually lower quality sites) one by one and ask them to fix their links, most don't even have contact info.
What would you suggest or recommend?
Thank you for your reply.

[edit reason] switch to example.com - it can never be owned [/edit]
