Google's (GOOG) purchase of mobile advertising provider AdMob for $750 million has drawn closer regulatory scrutiny as U.S. antitrust officials have asked Google for more information on the deal, Google said in a blog post Wednesday.

what they should create is, a cartel, if you will. just like they did with mobile alliance, only this time call it something else with "ad" in the name. that way they dominate but don't raise any red flags by going solo.

joking of course. very interested to see the outcome of this. my guess is FTC will back off after a little bit.

They surely will since Google is the biggest technology (and political?) partner of the US government... You cannot win against the government, can you.

Geesh, it feels like the US has already become a second China.

The U.S. federal government has hundreds of technology partners, and Google isn't the biggest.
