DMOZ - Norton 360 (Internet Security) Warnings to Not Visit Sections or Pages

A bizarre experience, now repeated more than once

You may or may not get a warning from Norton's web surfing protection product (Norton 360) when you attempt to visit this section:

[dmoz.org...] Regional/North_America/Mexico/Regions/

(Intentionally broken link)

Norton generates a link that looks like this:

symres:C:\Program%20Files\Norton%20360\MUI\#.#.#.#\09\01\coUICtlr.loc/SUSPICIOUSREDIRECT.HTML

And a warning that reads:

Suspicious Web Page Blocked
You attempted to access:
[dmoz.org...]
For your protection, this web page has been blocked and submitted for review. Visit Symantec to learn more about phishing and internet security.
It is recommended that you do NOT visit this page, however if you know that this web page is safe, you may choose to visit this web page anyway.

This is the second time I've received such a warning from Norton upon attempting to view a section of DMOZ.

Anyone know what's up with this?

Is DMOZ running some unusual or "unacceptable" redirects?

Have sections of DMOZ been hacked/hi-jacked?

Seems like a clean page ..nothing nasty in the source ..and navigating from dmoz site root via all the steps to where you were at the baja page doesnt do anything weird here ..

maybe norton "whatever" ( why do people ..especially who should know better by now :)) still use this company's flaky excuses for AV ?) just doesn't like the .js in the head ..not that it has any reason to object ..the .js is OK

I checked all the internally accessible details about the cateogry, and there is absolutely nothing unusual.

I did have the server regenerate the page right now, maybe that changes something, so that the error is gone in the future. Unfortunately due to our public side cache it might take a few days until the fresh version is accessible.

Norton does not provide any link to some more detailed analysis of the problem, I suppose? "SUSPICIOUSREDIRECT.HTML" looks like he found a redirect, but there is none. There might be one if you accessed the site without the www, but a dmoz.org -> www.dmoz.org redirect should not be that suspicious ;-)
