I am sure that this topic has been covered before, but I have found that a competitor is using the product images from my website. Is there anything I can do?

It is not so easy. Check if these images are licensed.

You should ensure the image metadata is completely filled in, and use a watermark.
Are they pulling the images from your site, per visitor, or have they copied the images and are hosting them on their site?

I took the images of the products. They are hosting them on their own site. I don't use watermarks. I don't see there is much I can do. Other than send them an email and see what they say. They will most probably ignore it.

All product images are actually copyright. Example: You can not take images from shop website which sells posters. This is license and poster shop will notice if you take those images into another shop website. Any such abuse can be avoided by storing images with encrypted names.

Sorry when I say I took the images of the products. I mean I took the photos I purchased the parts from our supplier to sell and then got my camera and took the photo. I then edited the photo to remove the background and posted on our website.

Images can be taken within seconds from websites. If you took photo than you have rights to report this to correct authorities. Take snap from this website. Store image from their website and send report to authorities.

Who are the correct authorities? I am based in the uk
Problem resolved (for now) I emailed owner of website with a polite email detailing the infringements and they have responded quickly stating that they have removed images.
