Google Images Using My Pictures

My picture directing to another website.

Hello,
I found at least one of my pictures in Google Images leading to another person's website. Usually when I click on my picture it shows my website, but this time it was for a website in Canada. When I click on my picture, it takes me to their website, but when I close the picture, it does not reside on their site. It is just a way for my picture in Google Images to take people to the site in Canada. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Is it possible that the other site had removed the picture from that page? In other words, they stole your picture, Google spidered and indexed that page, but then they took it off? Google would still direct you to that page until they respidered it. It's unlikely, but you could also check to see if your image is in the source code of the page but isn't visible due to, say, CSS.

You might check to see if they have a cached version and if your pic is on that.

Hi,
Yes there is a link to my site on their page, and one of my other images is there today. The site is an advertising site in Canada (ontario.inetgiant.ca). It is plugging the manufacturer who makes the animals that are shown in my photo. So I am assuming their client is the manufacturer of those plush toys. That manufacturer wants visitors to the Canada advertising site to find merchants who sell their plush toys, including me. Since that will benefit my site, I'm going to let it go. Thank you, rogerd, for helping me figure that out.

maybe the image is actually there, but your hotlink prevention prevents it from showing. that wouldn't stop google spidering the link though.

do view source, and see if you can find the image
