Having worked in (amongst others) educational publishing for many years, I'm all too familiar with their work in the UK and Europe. As both a company and a brand, Hobsons have had to regalvanise themselves quite dramatically over the last few years. With their interests in the burgeoning USA educational markets they'll do very well, particularly with such wise investments and strategic acquisitions!
They (Hobsons) used to be big in the EU-wide graduate careers/post-grad sector, but had to realign because, well, it was and still is a very difficult segment. Indeed, I believe - beyond any institutional sources - that there is still only one major private sector pan-EU publishing product left <cough> in what is nowadays a 27-country playing field ... :-)
Hobsons have drive, I'll give them that. They are eternally ambitious and typically British in their attitude towards acquisitions.

year 2005 onwards, in every meeting and conference, i will recommend forums :), only someone who tasted it knows the taste.
