I have just set up Google Analytics conversion tracker(Goals).
It has started tracking conversions and I'm now looking at the information its providing, but I'm a bit confused about what the reverse goal path report displays.
I can see the user journey of the visitors, but on some of the paths it starts off with (entrance) and on others it doesn't. What does entrance in brackets mean?
Here are some examples:
(entrance)>>/>>/request_information.asp
/>>/about.asp>>/request_information.asp
Does (entrance) mean that a visitor has come direct to the site, therefore that's why its the entrance point?
And without (entrance) at the front of the reverse goal path would mean that the visitor started at a search engine and came to the site at the first page on the reverse goal path?
I hope I'm not confusing the hell out of you guys. I would really appreciate if someone would be able to shine some light on to this little issue.
Many thanks in advance :)
(entrance) means the direct path to your goal.
No (entrance) means that they surfed around a bit and the path it shows is the last 3 or 4 pages of the goal.
So in your case they surfed a bit, went back to the homepage, went to about, then to request info.
