I wonder if this case going to court will have an impact upon the relationship companies like Yahoo! has w/ Target and the all of the other relationships between B&M and Online Portal/Services.
Fox News points out a comment by Kathy Wahlbin which I think we all should give its due consideration:
Kathy Wahlbin, the director of user-experience services at Mindshare Interactive Campaigns, a Washington-based e-commerce consultancy firm, said that when it comes to accessibility, most online retailers face a "hurdle of understanding.""What they need to know is how a blind person uses a Web site, how it sounds to them, and how that's different from other users," Wahlbin said.
Bolt onto the backside of this topic the social networking which is going on today, and there could very well be a tidal shift in how we look at usability. For us, it's all about the user interface. Our motto: "If they can't use it (our site), then they can't buy it"
There are some other interesting points in both of these articles like, "Is it possible to check out without using a mouse?" etc. Don't know how this case will turn out but I think it's one we should all keep half an eye on. ;)

I find a certain amount of irony in reading the Fox News article on a website which contains several totally inaccessible
