LinkedIn wants your blog posts, if i've understood this correctly.

I'm not a big user of LinkedIn as i've been spammed by people on there in the past.

Perhaps I'll take another look this month.

Publishing power — that is, the ability to create longer posts on LinkedIn with photos and headlines versus a simple status update — was initially reserved for a hand-selected group of influencers. Last February, LinkedIn announced plans to bring this tool to all users, but only rolled out the product to those in the U.S. Almost a year later, it has expanded to all English users worldwide, but that still leaves more than 100 million non-English users without publishing power.LinkedIn Extends Long Form Posting To All English Speaking Users [recode.net]

This is actually somewhat encouraging news.

The amount of spam we've all seen there is discouraging, but it may also be that the web marketing/SEO area, which is generally where I look, is particular prone to spam. I have seen some surprisingly good discussions on non-web topics I've come across by search... and many B2B marketers regard the platform highly.

I've felt that LinkedIn doesn't give me enough by default to make the free version of the platform actually useful, but this is a step in the right direction.
