LinkedIn Launches a Chinese-Language Site — But Government Censorship Looms
LinkedIn announced that it will launch a simplified Chinese language version of its site, making it easier for native Chinese speakers to use the social business network.
The company’s services have previously been available to users in China, although only in English, garnering about four million users inside the country.

There's certainly plenty of Chinese speakers outside of China (including Chinese nationals working or studying abroad). Obviously, it would be better to no have the Great Firewall closed. But people shouldn't discount the value of the huge expat/emigrant Chinese population.

True, there's a lot of value outside China, but more within. ;)
They made a Japanese version a while back. They opened offices in the country and everything. It's still taking a while for it to catch on. Sometimes it's just cultural. How much private employment information will the Chinese share?
